Campo Lungo – Lago Tremorgio

This trek was born from a special request. In 2025, the team of Power Women mountaineers from German-speaking Switzerland, who have been returning to us for several years now, asked me for an experience that would be even more intense, wilder, and more daring. So together we decided to bring to life a dream I had carried with me for a long time: to ride across Passo Vanit and Campo Lungo, and finally reach Lake Tremorgio, where we could dip our feet into its clear waters.

It is one of those treks that cannot be undertaken with just anyone. It requires deep trust, real experience, and that rare bond between horse and rider that allows you to understand each other with little more than a glance and a few words, even in the most delicate moments. For that reason, it is an experience I choose to share only with a few trusted riders — people with whom a genuine connection has been built over time, grounded in respect, presence, and composure.

The route winds through alpine trails, high-altitude landscapes, and more demanding sections, offering an intense and adventurous way to experience the mountains on horseback. It is an itinerary reserved exclusively for highly skilled riders, with full autonomy in handling their horse, excellent control in the saddle, and proven experience on challenging terrain.

For me, it remains a truly special experience, born of shared courage, trust built over time, and the wild beauty of these places. And with great respect, I also carry gratitude for those quiet guardian angels who, I am sure, watched over us along the way.
